 주님 안에서 신뢰하는 조영관 도전한국인본부 상임대표·세계도전재단 회장에게!

어제 만 77세가 된 저희 내외에게 치과의사로 일하고 있는 처조카 내외가 제 생일을 맞아 특별히 저녁 식사를 대접해 주었습니다. 맛있는 식사를 한 뒤 처조카 집에서 2차로 시간을 보내고 귀가하여 샤워 후 밤 12시에 잠이 들었습니다.

그런데 성령 하느님께서 성령으로 놀라운 방언을 주시며, 마지막에는 우리말로도 알게 해 주셨습니다. 너무도 소중한 말씀이라 잊지 않기 위해 기록하고 싶었으나 온몸이 떨려 기록하지 못했고, 기록하다가 방언이 중단될까 염려되어 계속 이어갔습니다.

이전에도 기도 중 방언을 한 적이 있었지만 뜻을 알지 못해 방언 통역자의 검증을 받고 싶다가도, 혹시 잘못된 것이라면 어찌해야 할지 두려워 중단한 적이 있습니다.

이번에는 방언을 하려는 의도 없이 잠들었으나, 새벽 2시경부터 이전보다 2~5배 빠른 속도로 방언이 쉼 없이 이어졌습니다. 중간에 의식적으로 멈추고 시계를 보니 새벽 3시 30분이었습니다.

뜻을 모르는 방언이었으나 한국어로 깨닫게 하셔서, 우리나라와 국민들이 불의한 세력에 넘어가지 않도록 저를 도구로 사용하시려는 뜻으로 이해하게 되었습니다. UN 평화대사로서 세계 평화와 대한민국 5천만 국민의 자유와 행복을 위해 이러한 방언을 주신 것이라 생각되었습니다.

윤석열 대통령은 국민의 선택으로 당선된 대통령이며, 이재명 대표는 선거 결과에 따라 낙선자입니다. 여러 정치적 상황 속에서 대한민국의 자유민주주의와 시장경제를 지키는 일이 중요하다고 생각합니다. 언론 또한 국익과 국민을 위해 더욱 책임 있는 역할을 감당해야 할 것입니다.

90분간의 방언이 끝난 후, 관련 자료를 정리하도록 인도받았습니다.

국민의힘 108석이라는 숫자에 대해서도 깊이 생각하게 되었습니다. 이는 단순한 숫자를 넘어 상징적인 의미를 지니는 것으로 느껴졌습니다. 불교에서 번뇌의 수를 108로 보듯, 이 숫자는 인간과 사회에 중요한 의미를 담고 있습니다.

저 역시 아버지날과 세계어버이날을 10월 8일로 정한 바 있어, 108이라는 숫자와의 연관성에 대해 더욱 깊이 생각하게 되었습니다. 이것이 단순한 우연이 아니라 하나의 섭리일 수도 있겠다는 생각이 들었습니다.

대한민국이 자유민주주의 국가로서 평화롭게 유지되기를 바라는 마음에서, 이번 경험을 통해 더욱 사명감을 느끼게 되었습니다.

또한 앞으로 국제적으로도 예수 그리스도의 삶과 메시지를 알리는 일에 참여하게 될 것이라는 믿음도 갖게 되었습니다.

이 모든 일을 통해 저는 더욱 신중하고 겸손한 자세로 사명을 감당해야 함을 느끼고 있습니다. 때로는 두렵고 조심스럽지만, 주님의 뜻이라면 순종해야 한다는 마음입니다.

마치 2천 년 전 가브리엘 천사의 소식을 들은 마리아가 “주님의 뜻대로 이루어지소서”라고 고백한 것처럼, 저 또한 부족하지만 도구로 쓰임 받기를 소망합니다.

비록 나이 많은 노인이지만, 모세를 사용하셨던 것처럼 저를 통해서도 대한민국과 국민을 위한 뜻을 이루시리라 믿습니다.

앞으로도 주님의 뜻 안에서 바른 길을 선택하며 살아가겠습니다.

Yesterday, on the occasion of my 77th birthday, my spouse and I were kindly treated to a special dinner by my niece-in-law and her husband, who is a dentist. After enjoying the meal, we spent additional time at their home before returning. After taking a shower, I went to bed around midnight.

Then, through the Holy Spirit, I was granted an extraordinary experience of speaking in tongues, and toward the end, I was also able to understand it in Korean. The message felt so precious that I wished to record it immediately, but my entire body was trembling, making it difficult to write. I also feared that if I stopped to record it, the flow of the tongues might cease, so I continued.

In the past, I had occasionally spoken in tongues during prayer, but I could not understand its meaning. I considered seeking verification from someone with the gift of interpretation, yet hesitated out of concern that it might be misunderstood.

This time, without any intention of praying in tongues, I fell asleep due to fatigue. However, around 2 a.m., the tongues began and continued nonstop at a speed two to five times faster than before. When I paused momentarily and checked the time, it was around 3:30 a.m.

Although I did not initially understand the tongues, I was later enabled to comprehend them in Korean. I came to believe that this was given so that I might serve as an instrument to help prevent our nation and its people from falling into injustice. As a UN Peace Ambassador, I felt it was a calling related to the peace of the world and the freedom and well-being of the 50 million citizens of the Republic of Korea.

President Yoon Suk Yeol was duly elected by the people, and Representative Lee Jae-myung, according to the election results, was not elected. In the midst of various political circumstances, I believe it is of utmost importance to safeguard the Republic of Korea’s liberal democracy and market economy. The media, too, should take on a more responsible and leading role for the sake of the nation and its people.

After approximately 90 minutes, the speaking in tongues came to an end, and I felt guided to organize and reflect upon related matters.

I also found myself contemplating deeply the significance of the number 108, which corresponds to the number of seats held by the ruling party. This number seemed to carry symbolic meaning beyond coincidence. In Buddhism, 108 represents the number of human afflictions, suggesting that it holds profound significance in human life and society.

I personally had designated October 8 as both Father’s Day and World Parents’ Day, which further deepened my reflection on the connection with the number 108. It led me to consider that this might not merely be coincidence, but part of a greater providence.

Through this experience, I have come to feel an even stronger sense of mission for the preservation of the Republic of Korea as a peaceful liberal democracy.

I also gained a renewed belief that I may participate in spreading the life and message of Jesus Christ globally through publications and missionary efforts.

Through all of this, I am reminded to carry out my mission with greater humility and caution. At times, I feel both fear and reverence, but I believe that if it is the Lord’s will, I must obey.

Just as the Virgin Mary, upon hearing the message of the angel Gabriel 2,000 years ago, responded, “Let it be done to me according to Your word,” I too, though insufficient, hope to be used as an instrument.

Though I am now elderly, I believe that just as Moses was called at an advanced age, I too may be used as a tool for the sake of this nation and its people.

I will continue to walk faithfully within the will of the Lord and strive to choose the righteous path.
